Paying for Investments

  • Which bank account will be used for fund transfer
You can link upto 4 bank accounts to pay for your fund investments and choose one of them as primary. Government rules require cancelled cheque leaf so that all investments can be traced to the original investor.
  • Will Jama keep custody of my stocks or funds?
No, we do not touch your stocks or funds in our investment advisory service. The stocks are always in your demat account. The funds required for the investment are securely transferred to the Demat broker; in case of Mutual Funds via Indian Clearing Corporation Limited (ICCL) through billdesk payment gateway.
  • I see "No Records Found" when I try to Transfer Funds
This happens sometimes to some orders when you have already made a previous attempt to transfer funds. For your security, only one attempt is allowed to transfer funds. In case funds are not transferred then you will see this message "No records found" when you try again.

The solution for this is to place a fresh order. You can tap on "Repeat Order" to place another order with the same fund for the same amount.

Please note that the previous order may have been taken up for processing. If the order was not paid for, then any allotment will be reversed.
  • I got "No Records Found". How do I place the order again?
If you run into issues and are not able complete your order, you can still repeat the order. In the "Pending" or "Under Processing" tabs, select the order and tap on "Repeat Order" to place another order with the same fund for the same amount. If the payment confirmation has been received for the order then you may not see the Repeat button.

Please note that the previous order may have been taken up for processing. If the order was not paid for, then any allotment will be reversed.
  • What are the payment modes for transferring money for investments
You can pay via netbanking. You can also do an NEFT or RTGS to a designated bank account of the demat provider or in case of Mutual funds, to the wholly owned BSE subsidiary Indian Clearing Corporation Limited.
  • How do I stop reminders for paying a mutual fund order that I placed by mistake?
You can go to Pending or Under Processing tab and select the order and tap on "Remove". Note that this is possible only if you have not paid for an order.
  • What is a Direct bank and how is it different from a Nodal bank
A direct bank is one which supports immediate confirmation of the fund transfer. BSE has this arrangement with six banks: Axis, Kotak, ICICI, SBI, Yes Bank. With a nodal bank the payment acknowledgement takes 1-2 working days
  • How to link a second bank account
You can link upto four bank accounts. To do this, go to Settings or Profile -> Bank Accounts and tap on "Add".
  • I did not pay for an order. Why is still under processing?
The Mutual Fund assumes that you intend to make a payment and hence in good faith, picks up the order for processing anyway. Some investors may pay by cheque which takes a few days to reach the mutual fund's bank.

Please note that this is applicable only for orders less than Rs 2,00,000 value. If payment is not made in time then any units allotted will be reversed. You will not be able to redeem any such units meanwhile.
